Gourd Springs Baptist Church Prayer Ministry
Commitment From Your Ministry
The Prayer Ministry aims to lead and educate the church in both individual and corporate prayer by providing resources and opportunities that create an awareness of the power of prayer, leading to a mature and passionate prayer life. We commit ourselves to faithfully stand in the gap for the concerns of our leadership, our ministries, and our brothers and sisters, out of obedience to God and commitment to GSBC, that His House will be called a House of Prayer.
How To Submit Your Prayer Requests
Wednesday Evening Service: You may give your request openly during our prayer time.
Prayer Box: You may fill out a prayer request form and place it in one of our prayer boxes located in the sanctuary foyer and at the altar.
E-mail: You may send an e-mail to our Prayer Ministry e-mail at gourdsprings@gmail.com
Public Requests: These concerns will be shared with your Pastor, Prayer Director, Prayer Team, the Wednesday evening congregation, and those GSBC members who are connected to our public prayer list through Awaken Prayer*.
Semi-Private Requests: These concerns will be shared with your Pastor, Prayer Director, and Prayer Team only.
Private Requests: These issues may be of such a delicate and personal nature that public disclosure would be difficult. Entrusting them here ensures your Pastor and your Prayer Director, who are committed to the ministry of prayer, will uphold your concerns before the Lord as well as keep your matters confidential.
If you have any concern that you would like to be covered in prayer but are not sure how to address it, please see your Prayer Director at any time for help with this.
Prayer Request Updates
The Bible tells us to “Bear one another’s burdens” in Galatians 6:2 and this is our desire! We are dedicated to praying your request through to its completion, so please keep us informed in how your request is progressing so we may adjust our specific prayers over your concern. Especially let us know how God answers your prayers as praise reports greatly encourage all who hear them. Updates may be given using the same options as when submitting your original request. Public praise reports are posted on the Answered Prayer boards in the back of the sanctuary as an offering of thanksgiving to the Lord and a testimony to the congregation.
Thank you for letting us partner with you in prayer!
“Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you…” 1 Samuel 12:23a
