Deacon Nomination Qualifications:
If you submit a name for nomination, you believe that,
- He lives his life as a testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ
- He shows evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in his life.
- He has Godly wisdom that he would use in the affairs of the church.
- He is a man of faith.
- He has a good reputation, is truthful, not given to gossip and has a clean tongue.
- He abstains form alcohol and illegal drugs.
- He tithes of his income to the church.
- He is the husband of one wife and oversees the affairs of his home in a Godly manner.
- He meets the requirements set by Gourd Springs that deacons be at least 21 years old, and have been a member of the church for at least 1 year.
